Why are sterilisation boxes made from aluminium rather than steel?
Aluminium is light enough for staff to lift a loaded case repeatedly and it conducts heat well, so steam cycles reach the contents evenly and drying is quicker. Anodising gives a hard surface that resists marking through repeated handling. Steel is kept for the bowls, dishes and trays inside, where fluid contact, weight and dimensional stability matter more than lifting weight.
Can perforated lids be supplied for filter based systems?
Yes. Cases can be made with perforated lids, plain lids or perforated base and lid, depending on how your department manages steam entry and filter media. Latch style, handle position and card holder can also be specified. Tell us the sterilisation process in use and the case format required, and we will confirm what we can build for that arrangement.
Are the bowls and trays made without seams?
Vessels are deep drawn from sheet wherever the form allows it, so bodies come out seamless with rolled rims and no welded joint to harbour residue. That makes cleaning easier and reduces failure points over the item’s life. Larger or unusually shaped items may require a joint, in which case it is formed and finished so the internal surface stays smooth.
