Suction instruments are the part of a tray nobody thinks about until the field fills. Adas Instruments makes the reusable steel patterns: Frazier and Adson suction tubes, a seven piece Frazier set, and two suction elevators that lift tissue and clear the pocket in the same pass. Everything on this page is one piece high quality medical grade stainless steel, made in our own workshop and sold direct.
Two things worth knowing before you order
The trade says suction tip as often as suction tube, and both mean the same steel cannula. The tip is the end that changes between cases while the handle stays on the field, which is why an American operating room asks for a tip. A search for Frazier suction tips and a search for Frazier suction tubes are looking for the same instrument. What neither word means is suction tubing, the disposable plastic hose that runs from the handle back to the machine, and which we do not sell.
Suction tube size is counted in French gauge, not in millimeters. The French number is three times the outside diameter in millimeters, so 12 Fr is about 4mm across and 5 Fr is under 2mm. This matters at the order stage: a request for an 8mm Frazier almost always means 8 Fr, because a tube 8mm across would be nearer a Yankauer than a Frazier. If you are matching a set you already own, give us the Fr number printed on it.

What we do not make, and will say so
Surgical suction is a bigger family than this page. We do not currently make the Yankauer, the Baron, the Andrews-Pynchon or the Red Robin patterns, and we would rather tell you that than take the order and send something close. If you need one of those, say so and we will tell you honestly whether it is coming.
Ordering
Order one for a single tray, or in quantity for a hospital list or a distributor line. We do OEM work under your own brand and your own item numbers, and we will hold a run to your pattern rather than ours if you send a sample. Stock items ship from our own workshop and backorder items take 10 to 12 working days to make. Every instrument carries a three year replacement warranty against manufacturing defects.
