Frequently Asked Questions
Will these handles fit cannulas from another manufacturer?
Usually yes, provided the fitting types agree. Standard Luer lock seats accept any cannula with a standard Luer lock hub, and threaded handles match cannulas cut to the same thread. Where the two do not agree, an adapter solves it. Send a photograph of your existing cannula hub, or the brand and model, and we will confirm which handle or adapter is required.
How is a fat filter cleaned between cases?
Strip the unit down completely, flush every passage while residue is still wet, then brush the body, lid and ports before an ultrasonic cycle. Reassemble only after all parts are dry and inspected. The filters here are designed to come apart without tools for exactly this reason, and all components are reusable and autoclavable at 134 degrees C.
What is the difference between a stop lock and a connector?
A connector simply joins two lines or a line to a cannula and stays open. A stop lock includes a valve that lets the surgeon hold, reduce or release vacuum at the handpiece without asking for the machine to be adjusted. Most sets carry several connectors and adapters plus one or two stop locks, since the lock is the part used case by case.
