What a two lateral one central hole liposuction cannula is
A two lateral one central hole liposuction cannula is a three port liposuction cannula with its ports arranged on purpose rather than evenly. The name says where they are: one central hole, and two lateral holes beside it. It sits in the same family as the Mercedes, because it also has three ports, but it does the opposite thing with them.
A Mercedes ring spreads three ports evenly around the tip so the cannula draws from every side whichever way it is turned. This pattern gives the cannula a front and a back. Google AI Mode describes the reason surgeons choose it in the same terms: the ports can be directed away from the skin, so suction works on the deeper fat and not on the layer just under the surface.
That makes it a cannula you hold a particular way. It suits a surgeon who wants to know where the suction is facing, and it is a poor choice for anyone who wants a cannula that works however it is rotated.
Key design features
Three ports, grouped toward one face
One port is central and two are lateral, so the openings are grouped rather than spread evenly around the shaft. Which face the ports are on is the thing to know before the first stroke.
A closed, rounded tip
The end is closed and rounded, like every cannula in this family. Because the ports face a chosen way, the tip leads and the surgeon steers, and the cannula does not need to cut to move.
Seven ways to finish the back end
The order form offers seven ways to finish the back end: a super fix handle in style A or style B, an aluminum Luer lock, a steel Luer lock, a super Luer lock, a Toomey hub, or a threaded fitting. A Luer lock or a super Luer lock screws onto a syringe or a Luer handle, the Toomey hub takes a 60 cc Toomey syringe, and a super fix handle makes the cannula one piece for a suction line. On a cannula that is held a particular way, a fixed handle also tells the hand where the ports are. The hub sets the price, from 22 to 55 dollars.
Four diameters, 15 to 35 cm
It comes in 2.4, 3, 4 and 5 mm. The 2.4 mm is made in 15, 20 and 25 cm, the 3 and 4 mm in every length from 15 to 35 cm, and the 5 mm in 25, 30 and 35 cm. There is no 2 mm.
Which size to order
Sixteen sizes, read off our own order form on 21 October 2026. The 3 and 4 mm come in every length from 15 to 35 cm; the 2.4 and the 5 mm do not.
| Diameter | Lengths on the order form | How many |
|---|---|---|
| 2.4 mm | 15 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm | 3 |
| 3 mm | 15 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm, 30 cm, 35 cm | 5 |
| 4 mm | 15 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm, 30 cm, 35 cm | 5 |
| 5 mm | 25 cm, 30 cm, 35 cm | 3 |
Where it is used
The Google AI Mode answer read on 21 October 2026 describes this pattern as one for efficient fat removal and body sculpting, and for gentle harvesting before grafting. The areas are the usual body contouring ones. The last column is ours.
| Use | Why this pattern | Where our sizes fit |
|---|---|---|
| Fat removal close to the skin | The ports can face the deeper fat and away from the surface | 3 and 4 mm |
| Body sculpting and contouring | The surgeon decides which way the suction faces | 4 and 5 mm, in the longer lengths |
| Harvesting before grafting | Three ports draw evenly without facing every way at once | 2.4 and 3 mm, on a Toomey hub or a Luer lock syringe |
| Large volume debulking | Possible, but more ports do it faster | A double or triple Mercedes instead |
What it is for, and what it is not for
A cannula with a front and a back is the right tool when direction matters and the wrong one when it does not. The table says which is which.
| Job | Use this cannula? | What to use instead |
|---|---|---|
| Suction directed away from the skin | Yes | This is the job it is made for |
| Suction from every side, however it is turned | No | A Mercedes, which spreads its ports in a ring |
| Fibrous or previously treated tissue | No | A cutting tip, such as our cobra or V dissector cannulas |
| Infusing tumescent fluid | No | An infiltration cannula, from our tumescent infiltration range |
| Very small areas | Only at 2.4 mm | A one hole or spatula tip |
How it compares with the rest of the family
Five patterns make up this family on our site. Four spread their ports around or along the tip; this one groups them. The last column is read off each product’s own order form.
| Pattern | What the tip carries, as the trade uses the name | What that is for | On our order form |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mercedes | three ports in one ring around the tip | the general pattern for debulking and for harvesting | 2 to 5 mm, 15 to 35 cm, 7 hub styles |
| Double Mercedes | two rings of three, six ports | more open area per pass on larger volumes | 3 to 5 mm, 25 to 35 cm, 7 hub styles |
| Triple Mercedes | three rings of three, nine ports | the most open area in the family | 2.4 to 5 mm, 20 to 35 cm, 5 hub styles |
| Two lateral, one central hole (this page) | one central port with a lateral port either side of it | ports that can be turned away from the skin | 2.4 to 5 mm, 15 to 35 cm, 7 hub styles |
| Three holes diagonal | three ports stepped along and around the tip | suction spread over a longer stretch of the shaft | no size or hub choice on the listing, so tell us both when you order |
Materials and finish
Every two lateral one central hole cannula we make is formed from high quality medical grade stainless steel. The steel itself is made to a German specification. We do not publish a grade number.
The three ports are cut through the wall of the tube, grouped toward one face, and their edges are what tissue passes over on the way in. The shaft is straight. The hub at the back end is the only part that changes with the order: aluminum on the aluminum Luer lock, steel on the steel Luer lock, and the handles and fittings on the rest.
Caring for it
Flush it as soon as it comes out of use, then brush the full length of the lumen and clean the three ports from the outside. Because the ports are grouped on one face, look along that face against a light before it goes for sterilizing. Dry it, steam sterilize it on the normal instrument cycle, and store it straight so the shaft keeps running true.
Ordering and wholesale
The two lateral one central hole liposuction cannula is made by Adas Instruments in our own workshop and sold direct, which is why the price sits where it does against the catalog houses. Order one for a single tray, or in quantity for a hospital list or a distributor line. We do OEM work under your own brand and your own item numbers. Send us a sample and we will hold a run to your pattern rather than ours. Stock items ship from our own workshop. Backorder items take 10 to 12 working days to make. Every instrument carries a three year replacement warranty against manufacturing defects. Production is controlled under an ISO 13485 quality management system.
Frequently asked questions
What is a two lateral one central hole liposuction cannula used for?
It is used for fat removal and harvesting when the surgeon wants to choose which way the suction faces. One central and two lateral ports give the cannula a front and a back, so the ports can be turned toward the deeper fat and away from the skin, rather than drawing from every side at once.
How much does a two lateral one central hole liposuction cannula cost?
The base price is 32 dollars and the hub moves it up or down: 22 dollars with the aluminum or steel Luer lock, 32 with the super Luer lock or the threaded fitting, 37 with the Toomey hub, and 45 or 55 with a super fix handle. Every cannula carries our three year replacement warranty against manufacturing defects.
How is it different from a Mercedes cannula?
Both have three ports. A Mercedes sets them evenly in a ring, so it draws from every side however it is held. This pattern groups them, one central and two lateral, so it draws mainly from one side and the surgeon decides which. One is for working without thinking about rotation, the other for working with it.
What sizes does it come in?
Diameters of 2.4, 3, 4 and 5 mm, and lengths from 15 to 35 cm. The 3 and 4 mm come in every length; the 2.4 mm is made in 15, 20 and 25 cm, and the 5 mm in 25, 30 and 35 cm. The size table above lists all sixteen, and none of them changes the price.
Is a two lateral one central hole liposuction cannula the same as a tri port cannula?
It has three ports, so in the plain sense it is a tri port cannula. The difference is in where the three ports sit. On this one they are grouped, one central and two lateral, while other three port patterns of ours, such as the Mercedes and the three holes diagonal, spread them around or along the tip.
