What a double Mercedes liposuction cannula is
A double Mercedes liposuction cannula is the Mercedes pattern repeated. The single version has three ports in one ring around the tip; this one has a second ring of three behind the first, which makes six. Described by its port count it is a six port Mercedes cannula, which is the plainest way to say what is on the end of it.
The reason for the second ring is open area. Every port draws tissue in, so six ports put more of the shaft to work on each stroke than three. That matters on the large, flat areas of body contouring, where the job is taking a lot of fat out evenly, and much less on a chin or a small pocket where a short stroke and a small diameter do the work.
Our range reflects that. The single Mercedes starts at 2 mm and 15 cm. This one starts at 3 mm and 25 cm and goes to 5 mm and 35 cm, which makes it a body cannula, and the order form does not offer it any smaller.
Key design features
Six ports in two rings
The ports are set in two rings of three, one behind the other. Each one is an elongated slot, cut through the wall of the tube. With six spaced around and along the tip, there is no direction in which the cannula is drawing from one port only.
A closed, rounded tip
The end is closed and rounded, the usual shape for an aspiration cannula that is meant to move through fat rather than cut. The more ports there are behind a blunt tip, the more the cannula does by drawing tissue in and the less by pushing through it.
Seven ways to finish the back end
The order form offers seven ways to finish the back end: a super fix handle in style A or style B, an aluminum Luer lock, a steel Luer lock, a super Luer lock, a Toomey hub, or a threaded fitting. A Luer lock screws onto a syringe or a Luer handle, and the Toomey hub takes a 60 cc Toomey syringe for harvesting by hand. A super fix handle makes the cannula one piece for a suction line, which suits a six port tip on a long shaft. The hub sets the price, from 22 dollars with the aluminum or steel Luer lock to 55 with the style A handle.
Long shafts only, in three diameters
Every diameter comes in the same three lengths, 25, 30 and 35 cm, so the choice is simpler than on most of the family. There is no short version. If the job needs a double Mercedes under 25 cm, tell us before ordering rather than after, because it is not a size we list.
Which size to order
Nine sizes, three diameters by three lengths, read off our own order form on 21 October 2026. Of the five patterns in this family, it is the only one where every length is made in every diameter.
| Diameter | Lengths on the order form | How many |
|---|---|---|
| 3 mm | 25 cm, 30 cm, 35 cm | 3 |
| 4 mm | 25 cm, 30 cm, 35 cm | 3 |
| 5 mm | 25 cm, 30 cm, 35 cm | 3 |
Where it is used
Google AI Mode describes the double Mercedes as a large volume and harvesting cannula, read on 21 October 2026. The areas below are the ones it names. The last column is ours, and it is narrower than for the single Mercedes because the sizes start larger.
| Use | Areas named | Where our sizes fit |
|---|---|---|
| Large volume body contouring | Abdomen, flanks, back and thighs | 4 and 5 mm, 30 and 35 cm |
| Fat harvesting for grafting | Larger donor areas | 3 and 4 mm, on a Toomey hub or a Luer lock syringe |
| Debulking before finishing | The first passes on a large area | 5 mm |
| Small areas and the face | Not named for this pattern | Not this cannula. The sizes start at 3 mm and 25 cm |
What it is for, and what it is not for
Six ports on a long shaft is a lot of cannula. It is the wrong choice for several jobs, and the table names what to use instead.
| Job | Use this cannula? | What to use instead |
|---|---|---|
| Large, even fat removal | Yes | This is the job it is made for |
| A small area or a short stroke | No | A single Mercedes in 2 or 2.4 mm |
| Fibrous or previously treated tissue | No | A cutting tip, such as our cobra or V dissector cannulas |
| Infusing tumescent fluid | No | An infiltration cannula, from our tumescent infiltration range |
| A power assisted handpiece | Not this listing | The PAL version of the double Mercedes tip |
How it compares with the rest of the family
Five patterns make up this family on our site. The second column is what each trade name means on the tip, and the last is read off each product’s own order form.
| Pattern | What the tip carries, as the trade uses the name | What that is for | On our order form |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mercedes | three ports in one ring around the tip | the general pattern for debulking and for harvesting | 2 to 5 mm, 15 to 35 cm, 7 hub styles |
| Double Mercedes (this page) | two rings of three, six ports | more open area per pass on larger volumes | 3 to 5 mm, 25 to 35 cm, 7 hub styles |
| Triple Mercedes | three rings of three, nine ports | the most open area in the family | 2.4 to 5 mm, 20 to 35 cm, 5 hub styles |
| Two lateral, one central hole | one central port with a lateral port either side of it | ports that can be turned away from the skin | 2.4 to 5 mm, 15 to 35 cm, 7 hub styles |
| Three holes diagonal | three ports stepped along and around the tip | suction spread over a longer stretch of the shaft | no size or hub choice on the listing, so tell us both when you order |
Materials and finish
Every double Mercedes cannula we make is formed from high quality medical grade stainless steel. The steel itself is made to a German specification. We do not publish a grade number.
The ports are cut through the wall of the tube, two rings of three, and their edges are what tissue passes over on the way in. The shaft is straight. On the aluminum Luer lock the hub is aluminum, and on the steel Luer lock it is steel.
Caring for it
Flush it as soon as it comes out of use, then brush the full length of the lumen and clean every port from the outside. Six ports in two rings means more places for fat to lodge than on a single Mercedes, so check the second ring as carefully as the first. Dry it, steam sterilize it on the normal instrument cycle, and store it straight. A long shaft bends more easily than a short one, and a bent cannula does not run true.
Ordering and wholesale
The double Mercedes liposuction cannula is made by Adas Instruments in our own workshop and sold direct, which is why the price sits where it does against the catalog houses. Order one for a single tray, or in quantity for a hospital list or a distributor line. We do OEM work under your own brand and your own item numbers. Send us a sample and we will hold a run to your pattern rather than ours. Stock items ship from our own workshop. Backorder items take 10 to 12 working days to make. Every instrument carries a three year replacement warranty against manufacturing defects. Production is controlled under an ISO 13485 quality management system.
Frequently asked questions
What is a double Mercedes liposuction cannula used for?
It is used for large volume fat removal and for harvesting fat in body contouring, on areas such as the abdomen, flanks, back and thighs. Its six ports put more of the shaft to work on each stroke than a single Mercedes does, which is why it is chosen when there is a lot to take out evenly.
How much does a double Mercedes liposuction cannula cost?
The base price is 32 dollars, and the hub moves it up or down: 22 dollars with the aluminum or steel Luer lock, 32 with the super Luer lock or the threaded fitting, 37 with the Toomey hub, and 45 or 55 with a super fix handle. The size does not change the price. Every cannula carries our three year replacement warranty against manufacturing defects.
What sizes does the double Mercedes come in?
Three diameters, 3, 4 and 5 mm, and three lengths, 25, 30 and 35 cm, with every length made in every diameter. That is nine sizes. There is no 2 mm and nothing under 25 cm on the order form, because this is a body cannula rather than one for small areas.
Which hub should I choose?
Match what is already on your tray. A syringe takes a Luer lock, a 60 cc Toomey syringe takes the Toomey hub, and a suction line takes a super fix handle, which makes the cannula one piece. If you own a handle that takes a threaded shaft, choose the threaded fitting. The order form shows the price beside each one.
How is a double Mercedes liposuction cannula different from a triple Mercedes?
A double Mercedes has two rings of three ports, six in all. A triple Mercedes has three rings, nine ports, and the most open area in the family. Ours differ in range too: the triple starts at 2.4 mm and 20 cm and takes five hub choices, while the double starts at 3 mm and 25 cm and takes seven.
