What a one hole liposuction cannula is
A one hole liposuction cannula is the plainest pattern there is: a hollow steel tube, a closed and rounded end, and a single port cut through the side of the tube a short way back from it. It goes by several names. Buyers search for a single port liposuction cannula, and Google’s AI Mode answer calls it a single port or single hole harvester, so a single hole liposuction cannula is the same tip under a third name. In two words it is a single port cannula.
One port means one direction. The cannula draws only from the side the port faces, so the surgeon decides exactly where the suction works by turning the handle. That is the opposite of a Mercedes ring, which draws from every side at once, and it is why the one hole pattern is kept for work where control matters more than speed.
Google AI Mode, read on 21 October 2026, describes it the same way: a cannula for harvesting, for final contouring and for touch ups in refined areas such as the face, the jawline and around the mouth. It can work larger areas too, more slowly, in the bigger diameters.
Key design features
One port on the side
The single port sits on the side of the shaft a short way behind the tip. In our own photograph of this cannula it is an elongated slot rather than a round hole, which gives tissue a longer opening to enter. Some patterns put the one hole centrally on the tip axis; ours is the lateral kind, on the side.
A closed, rounded tip
The end is closed and rounded. It leads the shaft through the fat without cutting a path of its own, and because nothing opens at the very end, the port behind it is the only place the cannula draws from.
Seven ways to finish the back end
The order form offers seven ways to finish the back end: a super fix handle in style A or style B, an aluminum Luer lock, a steel Luer lock, a super Luer lock, a Toomey hub, or a threaded fitting. A Luer lock screws onto a syringe or a Luer handle, and the Toomey hub takes a 60 cc Toomey syringe for harvesting by hand. The super fix handles make the cannula one piece for a suction line. The hub sets the price: 22 dollars with the aluminum or steel Luer lock, 32 with the super Luer lock or the threaded fitting, 37 with the Toomey hub, and 45 or 55 with a super fix handle.
The shortest lengths in the family
This is the only cannula in the family made at 10 cm, and only in 2 mm. The 2 mm also comes in 15 and 20 cm, the 2.4 mm in 15 to 25 cm, the 3 and 4 mm in every length from 15 to 35 cm, and the 5 mm in 25, 30 and 35 cm. A short, fine shaft is the one to reach for on a face.
Which size to order
Nineteen sizes, read off our own order form on 21 October 2026. Not every length is made at every diameter, and the form shows only the sizes that go with the hub you choose.
| Diameter | Lengths on the order form | How many |
|---|---|---|
| 2 mm | 10 cm, 15 cm, 20 cm | 3 |
| 2.4 mm | 15 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm | 3 |
| 3 mm | 15 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm, 30 cm, 35 cm | 5 |
| 4 mm | 15 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm, 30 cm, 35 cm | 5 |
| 5 mm | 25 cm, 30 cm, 35 cm | 3 |
Where it is used
These uses come from the Google AI Mode answer read on 21 October 2026. They are its words about the pattern, not our measurements. The last column is ours.
| Use | Areas named | Where our sizes fit |
|---|---|---|
| Final contouring and touch ups | The face, the jawline and around the mouth | 2 and 2.4 mm, 10 to 20 cm |
| Fat harvesting | Donor areas, taken slowly from one point | 2.4 and 3 mm, on a Toomey hub or a Luer lock syringe |
| Targeted body sculpting | Smaller body areas | 3, 4 and 5 mm, 20 to 35 cm |
| Delicate touch ups | Refined areas after the main work | 2 mm, 10 to 20 cm |
What it is for, and what it is not for
One port gives control and gives up speed. The table names the jobs where another cannula of ours does the work better.
| Job | Use this cannula? | What to use instead |
|---|---|---|
| Small areas and finishing passes | Yes | This is the job it is made for |
| Large volume removal on the abdomen or thighs | Slowly | A Mercedes or a triple Mercedes, with more ports |
| Fibrous or previously treated tissue | No | A cutting tip, such as our cobra or V dissector cannulas |
| Infusing tumescent fluid | No | An infiltration cannula, from our tumescent infiltration range |
| A handle fixed to the shaft | Not this listing | Our single hole fix handle cannula |
How it compares with the rest of the family
Five patterns make up this family on our site, from one port to nine. The second column is read off our own photograph of each tip, and the last off each product’s own order form.
| Pattern | What the tip carries, from our own photograph | What that is for | On our order form |
|---|---|---|---|
| One hole (this page) | one elongated port on the side, a short way behind the tip | control in small areas and on finishing passes | 2 to 5 mm, 10 to 35 cm, 7 hub styles |
| Two hole | two elongated ports in a line on the same side | a little more draw than one port, still from one side | 2 to 5 mm, 15 to 35 cm, 7 hub styles |
| Three hole | three elongated ports in a row along one side | even suction along one plane of the fat | no size or hub choice on the listing, so tell us both when you order |
| Pyramid | one large port nearest the tip and two smaller ports behind it, one either side | ports that can be turned away from the skin | 2 to 5 mm, 15 to 35 cm, 7 hub styles |
| Kotzur 9 holes | nine holes: a larger port near the tip and small round holes further back along the shaft | leveling and harvesting over a broader stretch of the shaft | 2 to 5 mm, 15 to 35 cm, 7 hub styles |
Materials and finish
Every one hole cannula we make is formed from high quality medical grade stainless steel. The steel itself is made to a German specification. We do not publish a grade number.
The port is cut through the wall of the tube, and its edges are what tissue passes over on the way in. The shaft is straight. On the aluminum Luer lock the hub is aluminum, and on the steel Luer lock it is steel; the hub changes how the cannula connects and nothing about the tip.
Caring for it
Flush it as soon as it comes out of use, then push a brush through the full length of the lumen and clean the port from the outside. On the 2 mm the bore is narrow, so look through it against a light to be sure it is clear. Dry it, steam sterilize it on the normal instrument cycle, and store it straight. A fine shaft bends more easily than a thick one, and a bent cannula does not run true.
Ordering and wholesale
The one hole liposuction cannula is made by Adas Instruments in our own workshop and sold direct, which is why the price sits where it does against the catalog houses. Order one for a single tray, or in quantity for a hospital list or a distributor line. We do OEM work under your own brand and your own item numbers. Send us a sample and we will hold a run to your pattern rather than ours. Stock items ship from our own workshop. Backorder items take 10 to 12 working days to make. Every instrument carries a three year replacement warranty against manufacturing defects. Production is controlled under an ISO 13485 quality management system.
Frequently asked questions
What is a one hole liposuction cannula used for?
It is used for fat harvesting, final contouring and touch ups, mostly in small areas such as the face, the jawline and around the mouth. The single port draws from one point on one side, so the surgeon controls exactly where the suction works by turning the handle.
How much does a one hole liposuction cannula cost?
The base price is 32 dollars and the hub moves it up or down: 22 dollars with the aluminum or steel Luer lock, 32 with the super Luer lock or the threaded fitting, 37 with the Toomey hub, and 45 or 55 with a super fix handle. The size does not change the price.
What size one hole cannula should I order?
That is the surgeon’s call, and it follows the area. What we make is 2, 2.4, 3, 4 and 5 mm, from 10 to 35 cm, nineteen sizes in all. The 2 mm is the only one made at 10 cm, and the 5 mm starts at 25 cm. The size table above lists every combination.
Is a single port cannula the same as a one hole liposuction cannula?
Yes. Single port, single hole and one hole all describe the same tip: one opening behind a closed end. Some makers put that hole centrally on the tip axis and some on the side. Ours sits on the side of the shaft, as our photograph shows.
How is a one hole liposuction cannula different from a two hole?
A one hole draws from a single point. A two hole adds a second port in line behind the first, on the same side, so a little more of the shaft is working on each stroke while the suction still faces one way. Both take the same seven hubs, and the one hole alone is made at 10 cm.
